North American DLT Projects Completed and Underway
Back in November, with the support of our partners and friends, we celebrated the opening of StructureCraft's new 50,000sqft headquarters and the launch of Dowel Laminated Timber, the first all wood mass timber panel in North America.
The availability of DLT as another engineered mass timber product further strengthens our support for architects, owners, and engineers to design-build beautiful and cost-efficient mass timber structures and buildings with the best available materials. Cross-laminated timber (CLT) continues to be a viable engineered product for a variety of wood and timber structures, especially an advantageous product for wall structures.
Now with the availability of DLT and its unique benefits, a wide variety of customizable profiles can be integrated inexpensively into the bottom surface for the particular performance and aesthetic requirements of each project. Furthermore, we are able to incorporate acoustic profiles within our DLT panels, allowing NRC values up to 0.70. This is exciting news for our architect friends.
In just a few short months, we have seen great interest in DLT for its profile flexibility, all-wood makeup, cost-effectiveness, and structural performance.
