The Nancy Pauw Bridge is set in the heart of Banff, spanning the Bow River to connect Central Park to the Banff Recreation Grounds.

Set over the Bow River in the town of Banff (Canada’s first national park), this slender 113m-long timber bridge serves pedestrian traffic and provides a sanitary crossing replacement.

Located on the Trans-Canada Trail, this 64 m (210 ft.) long footbridge spans the Tulameen River at Princeton, BC. The two 105 ft. (32m) timber bridge spans were set down onto the existing piers of the Old Kettle Valley Railway Bridge.

Shortly after designing, fabricating, and erecting the 80m clearspan (113m total) Bow River Pedestrian Bridge in Banff, Canada, we were awarded the contract to design and build a similarly styled but smaller pedestrian bridge.

The Dishui Lake Bridge: a timber, 48-meter span pedestrian bridge with welded steel box sections for chords and an array of randomly spaced larch glulam web members.

This pedestrian bridge, consisting of a grid of gapped 2 x 4’s for the floor, walls and roof is a main feature of the Avon Village Park.

Speak with an EngineerFollowing our Engineer-Build delivery model, we work directly with the client to both design and build your pedestrian bridge to the unique constraints of the particular site.
On pedestrian bridge projects, we serve as the Design-Build General Contractor, managing all aspects of the structure, foundation, abutments and site, including all required consultants and subcontractors.
We also oversee any sensitive environmental aspects associated with the project.

Feasibility Study
We provide initial feasibility assessments and early assistance to establish realistic budgets, typically at no cost. This often includes conceptual drawings and renders required for early stakeholder engagement.Conceptual Design
We are architecturally minded engineers and will work with you to develop a bridge concept that suits the site context, typically focusing on using natural materials like timber where sensible.Detailed Design
Our in-house structural engineering and 3D design teams will lead the design effort, coordinating with our consulting partners (e.g. Civil, Environmental, Geotechnical, Landscape Architect) to provide a comprehensive design package.Pre-Construction Management

Modeling & Shop Drawings

We fabricate and pre-assemble the bridge components in our 60,000 sf. facility in Abbotsford, BC, with stringent QA/QC protocols.Project Management
