A new side to Central City
Thirteen years after we worked with Bing Thom Architects to put together the beautiful North Facade of Central City (known then as "Surrey City Centre"), we are in the process of redoing the East Entrance with them in similar style to the North. Several of our carpenters spent a few weeks cutting, milling, sanding, staining, and coating the two massive PSL columns and associated muntins in our shop, and our site crews are now in the process of erecting the structure on site.
This is the kind of design-build work we really enjoy - detailed, attention-demanding, precision work. If you are interested in the behind the scenes methods and processes, we are in the process of putting together a time lapse of portions of the project, and will share on our blog probably early July.
