Brighouse Fire Hall No. 1
The Brighouse Fire Hall No. 1 is located near the city hall in Richmond, and will act as the the primary fire hall for this district. The newly erected building sits on the site of the former, 8000 sqft smaller fire hall built in 1962. We were engaged by Stuart Olson to supply, frame, and erect the CLT roof for this LEED Gold, 25,000 sqft structure.
The City of Richmond chose to construct this new fire hall not only because of the inadequate size and age of the former one, but also because of the recognized need for a structure designed and built to handle any major earthquake which the City may face in the coming years.
