This 15,000 sq. ft. roof is rectangular in plan and pitched at a 1:12 slope. The “Takenaka” space truss utilizes Douglas Fir peeler cores as truss members and ductile iron castings at the nodes. The 2,000 peeler cores and 20 “tree-branch” supports were graded, seasoned and pre-fabricated at the shop in Delta, BC.
